Opening September 2026 · 1312 Burrard Street, Vancouver

Our second café is taking shape on Burrard Street. We are not going to show it to you yet.

Our first café sits on East 5th, and it has taught us a great deal about how people actually want to spend an hour.

What we are building downtown is a quieter thing: a coffee house that behaves like a garden. Deep green on every wall, carved wood filtering the afternoon, terracotta where the warmth needs somewhere to land, and a canopy overhead so the light arrives the way light arrives through leaves.

You will not see it here.
You will see it when you walk in.

The palette

Five colours, and what each is for.

Raintree Green

Every wall, floor to ceiling. The deep and settled green of a conservatory at four in the afternoon.

October Mist

Where the morning arrives. A paler green that takes the east light and hands it back softly.

Flower Pot

Terracotta, applied sparingly, in the few places the room wants a pulse.

Buckhorn Chinchilla

The shadow overhead, so that the ceiling reads as depth rather than as a lid.

Stone House

The ceiling itself. The canopy you will be sitting under.

Four things we will show you

Drawn, never photographed.

01

A floor in black and white

One inch hexagons in matte white, scattered with black. It will sound different under your shoes than the café you already know.

02

Carved light

Wooden screens cut into pointed arches, set where the sun lands. All afternoon they will throw their own pattern across the room and move it slowly to the left.

03

Stone, cut and polished

Grey quartz with a soft vein running through it, polished until it holds the light. This is where we will hand you your cup.

04

One live edge

A single slab of timber with one edge left exactly as the tree grew it. Sit at it long enough and you will find the year it stopped.

Behind this, the room.

On the house

Your first chai and samosa are ours to give.

Join us before we open and the first cup is on the house, with a samosa beside it. One per person, waiting at the counter on the day the doors come off.

The list

Be the first through the doors.

Leave us your email and we will write to you on the morning we open. Not before.

We will keep the light on behind the screen until September 2026.
Then come and see what it has been falling on.
